Expert opinion: The Waldhausen loose ring rubber bit is a single jointed that offers a pleasant light and soft contact. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth by its soft alloy.  Unlike the double jointed which acts on the tongue, the single jointed acts on the palate and the sides of the tongue. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy but not very sensitive in the mouth, not very sensitive on the palate or with a hollow palate. A comfortable bit that forms naturally on the tongue due to its anatomy, its alloy gives it a soft contact.  The thinness of its barrel allows to optimize the place of the bit in the mouth of your horse. Ideal for horses with small mouths.

The loose rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, which makes it easier to play in the fingers and limit excessive tension.

Rubber : Rubber bits are frequently used when breaking in young horses. They are often thick and help with contact. Rubber bits are vulnerable and can quickly become damaged, depending on your horse's dentition.

Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
