When used in a blocked position, it protects the tongue and palate from being pinched. It acts more frankly and precisely on the horse's mouth. In the other direction it has an interesting movement to help limit situations in which the horse could be led to freeze on its bit. It is anatomically shaped and comfortable in your horse's mouth.
