Expert opinion: The full cheek with tongue port Konnex from Beris is a mouthpiece that offers maximum space for the tongue while having a more anatomical shape. The Konnex range is characterized by ergonomic barrels that perfectly fit the muscle of the horse's tongue and thus exert less pressure by resting on a larger surface. This Konnex model is thinner and takes up less space in the horse's mouth, ideal for horses with a narrower mouth. The shape of the barrel frees up the tongue muscle for better mobility and relaxation. The pressure is distributed more evenly over the tongue and will stress the bars and commissures a little more. This mouthpiece is particularly suitable for horses that cannot tolerate pressure on the tongue and react by shaking their head, for example. The Hard Mouthpiece is ideal for horses with a sensitive mouth, but who tend to press slightly. The Soft barrel is ideal for horses with a sensitive mouth that need to rest lightly on the hand.
The full cheek will allow for excellent lateral framing and more direct contact from the hand to the mouth. Ideal for young horses who have difficulty with lateral flexion.
Resin : Beris bits are made of resin, with a specially smooth surface that allows the bit to slide into the horse's mouth without the "gumming" effect that traditional resin bits can cause. This material is so smooth and soft to the touch that it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. This resin is made from a plastic material for food use. A real asset to obtain chewing and a good acceptance of the bit thanks to its soft touch and its ambient temperature.
