  • Single jointed

Single snaffle bits transmit the rider's aids on the edges of the tongue, and on the bars. When giving a rein action, the bit forms a V shape and exerts a pressure that can be described as a "nutcracker" action. Single snaffle bits are not recommended for horses with a flat palate. It is best used on horses with a hollow palate and no sensitivity of the bars and tongue.

  • Double jointed

Double snaffle bits distribute the pressure of the reins over a larger area. The double snaffle bit is recommended for horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate. The double snaffle offers good mobility to the bit, allowing good relaxation in horses that can be supported with straight bits. It has good freedom of movement in the horse's mouth. It is a versatile bit that can be used for both learning and mature horses.

  • Roller bits

Roller bits keep the horse's attention. They are usually made of copper for more salivation/relaxation. These bits can be recommended for horses that have difficulty concentrating during their session.

  • Waterford

Waterford bits offer an asymmetrical contact from the hand to the horse's mouth due to the articulation and mobility it offers. This bit is recommended for horses with a tendency to rest excessively on the hand. The multiple breaks will invite the horse to take charge in his forehand.

  • Blocked barrel

Blocked-barrel jaws offer precise action through blocking. The blocking eliminates the risk of tongue pinching and discomfort on the palate. Blocked bits encourage the horse to stay in a light contact. It is an interesting bit to obtain a light contact and a horse that carries itself and mobilizes its hindquarters.

  • Straight Bits

The straight bit exert a constant and regular pressure on the whole tongue, the bars and the commissures. They can be soft or hard depending on the model. Compared to a double snaffle bit, the straight bit releases a little more pressure on the bars. The stronger the rein tension, the greater the pressure on the tongue and lower jaw. It is recommended for horses that have difficulty making contact.

  • With Tongue Port Bits

Tongue snaffles are recommended for horses with pathologies or large tongues. They distribute the pressure evenly over the bars and commissures while releasing the tongue. This type of bit relieves the pressure on the middle of the tongue, which relaxes the tongue muscle and results in a relaxed horse.
