Happy Mouth offers a non-toxic polyurethane resin that gives the horse a lasting apple taste to help with bit acceptance. 
 > Resin bits are soft and light, suitable for young horses for breaking in or for sensitive mouths. 
 > Resin bits stay at room temperature.
 > They offer a soft contact but are less tender and thick than a rubber bit.
 > The apple taste encourages chewing.

Caution: resin bits are particularly vulnerable, it is strongly advised not to use a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.

This bit has a copper roller which gives the horse a pleasant taste when it comes into contact with the mouth. The roller encourages the horse to play with the bit, resulting in salivation and increasing the relaxation of the mouth.

3 ring gag with two sets of reins gives a rider the ability to send both horizontal and vertical signal. The first rein is attached to the largest middle ring which works to give a horse direct pressure to turn. The second rein is connected to the lower ring, and gives gag action. When the second rein is pulled the lower cheek tilts at the fulcrum point of top ring to which cheekpiece is attached, and slides in the mouth- piece. It gives pressure on both the poll and the corner of mouth simultaneously. It exercises strong control by leverage and works to elevate a horse. Useful bit for a strong horse who tends to lean on bit or in need of retraining.

Clean with water after each use and occasionally with a special cleaning product for bits.
